About the Role
Osambit is looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join a team building a greenfield fintech / neobank platform from scratch.
You will work closely with product stakeholders, Principal Engineers, Tech Leads, QA, and developers to transform business requirements into clear functional specifications and engineering-ready documentation. This role requires strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate in a technically complex environment involving payments, integrations, and financial workflows.
What You’ll Do
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements
- Translate stakeholder needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, workflows, and specifications
- Collaborate with engineering teams to clarify requirements and support implementation
- Analyze API contracts, integration flows, and technical dependencies
- Create and maintain documentation in Confluence and manage requirements in Jira
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies
- Work with QA teams to ensure requirements are testable and well understood
- Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and engineering teams
- Document workflows, business processes, edge cases, and system behavior
Requirements
- Experience in fintech, banking, neobank, payments, or card systems
- Strong Business Analyst fundamentals (requirements gathering, stakeholder communication, process modeling, documentation, user stories, acceptance criteria)
- Understanding of HTTP, REST APIs, and integration concepts
- Experience working with Swagger / OpenAPI specifications
- Hands-on experience with Postman for API testing and validation
- Strong experience using Confluence and Jira
- Practical understanding of Scrum, Agile, and software delivery lifecycle
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong spoken and written English
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with technical integrations, authentication flows, and financial workflows
- Understanding of microservices, event-driven systems, or distributed architectures
- Experience working closely with engineering teams in highly technical environments
- Knowledge of UML, BPMN, or workflow modeling tools
