Problem

Site engineers needed a mobile interface to configure and monitor oil-mist collector units in the field. They had to pair F Monitor 2/2+ hardware, interpret service risk and adjust thresholds without specialist tools.

Constraints

The app had to use an unencrypted BLE protocol while protecting access with a device-derived PIN. It also needed a consistent iOS/Android UX, 2,000 saved devices, 16 concurrent connections, and no hardware simulator.

Solution Overview

We designed a cross-platform app for Filtermist F Monitor 2/2+ industrial IoT devices.

Via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), engineers scan and pair units, validate MAC addresses, view live airflow, uptime, vibration and motor-temperature data, and configure green, amber and red thresholds.

The app can calibrate airflow, reset maintenance time, pair sensors and run LED tests. A responsive iOS/Android interface supports device aliases, filter configuration, Celsius/Fahrenheit preferences and local device lists.

Built for field use, it turns raw sensor telemetry into practical servicing decisions.
